I've been a patient at Defiance for about 7 years now, and have seen them twice a year in that time. The staff are very friendly, particularly Julie and Dr. Sekhon. They've taken great care of my teeth and bring tons of value not just through their services but through their advice and recommendations as well. Definitely recommend!

Just had my new patient appointment and I only have positive things to say. From setting up the appointment to the moment that I walked out the door everything was very comfortable and streamlined. Emily at the front desk handled moat of my appointment set up and checkout which was easy and quick. She provided answers to all of the questions I had and made things pretty effortless for me. I personally think that the hygiene portion of a dental appointment is where I find the most anxiety but Tiana my hygienist was both competent and kind. She took excellent care of my teeth. Dr. Sekhon is extremely affable; he is a warm guy with a very calming presence. He speaks directly and presented his recommendations in a clear way. I have a history of dental anxiety and can’t offer any negative notes about our interaction, it was all very positive and I feel much more certain about my future of dental health. In my limited time with Defiance Dental I only saw positive interactions. Everyone treated me with kindness and respect and it also seemed like that is how they treated each other, it just seemed like an incredibly inviting atmosphere. I am thrilled to have found such a great dental office and am excited to see the new location in Old Town when it opens.

Absolutely the best dental experience I’ve ever had in my life! I never feel like they’re pushing anything on me or trying to sell a service. I always know that they have my best interest in mind. The whole team is very communicative and always make the trip efficient and very pleasurable. As a father of 4 children I almost fall asleep in the chair due to the relaxing atmosphere lol. I’ll definitely continue going once they open their new location in old town

For a Beautiful Smile and a Healthy Lifestyle

Straight teeth not only improve your smile but also help prevent a range of dental and health issues. While crooked teeth may seem like a cosmetic concern, proper alignment is crucial for optimal oral function and long-term health. In fact, nearly 9 out of 10 people experience mild crowding or misalignment, which can lead to:

  • Chipped or worn-down front teeth
  • Food getting trapped between teeth
  • Difficulty flossing and maintaining thorough cleaning
  • Increased risk of cavities between teeth
  • Gum disease, which is linked to health conditions such as: Heart disease, Alzheimer’s, Arthritis, Stroke

If you’re experiencing any of these concerns, schedule an appointment with our office for a comprehensive evaluation of your oral health.

When Is the Best Time to Start?

If you’ve been thinking about straightening your teeth or recently received a recommendation from your dentist, the best time to begin is now. Waiting can increase the risk of dissatisfaction, breakage, or other health concerns, as teeth continue to shift over time.

As the years pass, your teeth are likely to become more misaligned. The more movement needed to correct them, the longer and more expensive the treatment may be. Starting earlier makes the process easier, faster, and more affordable.

What Can You Expect Once You Start Your Treatment?

Our goal is to help you achieve a beautiful smile and better health by starting with proper alignment and function. It’s never too late to experience the benefits of straighter teeth, no matter your age.

Your Treatment Plan

Your journey begins with a digital scan of your teeth, which allows us to create a personalized treatment plan. SureSmile’s advanced software precisely predicts how your teeth will shift, providing you with a preview of your smile at different stages—weeks, months, and the final result. Once finalized, your custom aligners are crafted using SureSmile’s cutting-edge printing technology.

The First Aligners

When your aligners are ready, small, nearly invisible fasteners will be temporarily attached to your teeth to help secure the aligners in place. These fasteners will be easily removed once your treatment is complete.

Follow-Up Appointments

You’ll receive a new set of aligners every two weeks, which will gently guide your teeth into their correct positions. Follow-up appointments will be scheduled every 1-2 months to monitor progress and ensure your treatment is moving smoothly. With each set, you’ll be one step closer to your perfect smile.

There’s A Beautiful Solution

We’ve helped hundreds of patients achieve not only the cosmetic smile they’ve always wanted but improve their oral health and their overall health, giving them the confidence and wellness to get on with their lives.

If you’re ready for a consultation about how to achieve a beautiful and healthy smile, call our office, we’re ready to see you.

Cost of SureSmile in Summerlin

With most insurance plans, the average out-of-pocket cost for SureSmile treatment is around $3,000. After an oral exam, we can give you a more accurate quote based on your specific insurance coverage and expected out-of-pocket costs. For those without insurance, the treatment typically ranges from $5,000 to $6,000.

Determining the Cost of SureSmile Treatment

Frequently Asked Questions

SureSmile offers a more comfortable and discreet alternative to braces, using clear, custom-fit trays that are barely noticeable. You can easily remove them for special occasions, and their smooth design prevents the pinching and scratching common with traditional braces. If any irritation occurs, the trays can be adjusted. SureSmile also applies gentler pressure by moving a few teeth at a time, making it a more comfortable experience than conventional braces.

SureSmile gently shifts your teeth, making small adjustments over a few weeks with minimal discomfort. Some discomfort is normal, but if you experience any pain, let us know, and we can help.

SureSmile treatment usually lasts between 6 to 12 months, with noticeable movement often within the first 6 weeks. The length of treatment depends on the extent of the changes needed—the more movement required, the longer the treatment, regardless of the method.

Clean your aligners and teeth twice a day. Remove and rinse the trays before putting them back in. Keep them in a case when not in use, and consider soaking them in denture cleaner or SureSmile cleaning crystals. Avoid eating or drinking while wearing your aligners, and don’t use toothpaste to clean them. Detailed care instructions will be provided with your first set of trays.

No, eating with your aligners can damage or crack them due to chewing forces, and it makes eating difficult. Always remove your aligners before meals.

Yes, aligners should be worn day and night, except when eating or drinking. Consistent wear is crucial for effective tooth movement.
